You Are Ready When
The closing checklist. If you can do all seven things, you are ready to own a book.
The finish lineModule 07 — the call that matters most
Two paths in: fund it, or build it
Every lead lands on one of two rails. Get this wrong and you either kill a deal that could have funded, or waste a senior advisor's day on a file no bank will touch.
Clean File — Fund Upfront
The file is bankable today. Statements show real, consistent, on-rail revenue. Send it to the banks.
- $10,000+ monthly revenue — strict. $9,999 fails.
- 90 days of statements standard; 4 full months in New York and California.
- 1–3 positions max, and still plenty of cash flow left after them.
- Clean ACH. Minimal to no heavy Zelle, Cash App or Venmo.
- Not heavy Square or Stripe.
- Low cash and check volume — or properly reported through a system.
- No crazy negative days, no low or zero balances.
- AI stack check passes.
What you do next
Self-review the file, run the AI stack check, push it to the appropriate banks, and book the senior advisor to close.
Build File — Install Rails
Real sales exist, but they are not bankable yet. Put the business on the rails, season it, then fund.
- Heavy Zelle, Cash App or Venmo volume.
- Heavy Square or Stripe processing.
- Lots of cash or unreported checks with no AR receipts.
- Over-stacked — too many existing positions.
- Negative days, low balances, or the account is being managed to dodge fees.
- Real sales exist but they do not show up cleanly on the statement.
The build process
Install Clover → season 30–60 days of clean deposits → then fund, and climb from there.
Module 05 — product deep dives
The products you will talk about
Learn the shape of each one — what it is, what it is not, and who it actually fits. Never pitch a product you cannot explain in one breath.
MCA / Revenue-Based Financing
An advance against future revenue, repaid as a small percentage of daily card sales. Bank-statement driven, priced by factor rate, and fast.
Factor 1.15–1.55 · 24–72 hours
Split Pay Funding
A percentage of each card batch is split off automatically at the processor level until the balance is retired. Payment moves with sales.
CC-Split · Multi-funder split
Term Loans
Fixed payment, fixed term — the most predictable structure on the shelf. Best for a business with steady, bankable deposits and a defined use of funds.
Predictable weekly or monthly
Lines of Credit
Approved once, drawn when needed. Pairs well with seasonal businesses that need capital available without paying for it up front.
Reusable · draw on demand
Equipment Financing
Funds the machine, the truck, the build-out. The asset itself supports the approval, which makes it accessible to files that struggle on cash flow alone.
The equipment is the collateral
Credit Card Stacking
Multiple 0% intro cards opened around the same window and sequenced for working capital. Credit-driven rather than statement-driven.
Credit-led, not revenue-led
SBA 7(a) & 504
The longest terms and the lowest rates available — and the slowest, most document-heavy path. Credit and full file quality carry the weight here.
Longest terms · heaviest file
Clover Payments
The rails. Hardware plus SaaS that brings card volume back on-statement — which is what makes a build file fundable and keeps it fundable.
0% processing · 50% residual
Build Program
For real businesses that are not bankable yet. Install, season 30–60 days of clean deposits, fund, and then climb from a stronger position.
Install → season → fund → climb
Module 06 — Capvera Payments
Clover is the rails that clean the file
Payments is not a side product — it is the reason a build file ever becomes a fund file. Every dollar that runs through Clover lands on the statement as clean, on-rail revenue.
0% processing
On Visa, Mastercard and Amex — depending on approval and volume.
50% residual
Half the processing residual goes back to the merchant, every month.
Hardware + SaaS
Devices, Starter through ServicePro 911, lease-capped at 24/36/48 months.
Back-office tools
Reporting and management built into the install, not sold as an extra.
Dual pricing is available as an alternative structure, and the back-office tools come with the install. The scanner option exists — offer it, never force it.

Module 06 · Capvera Payments
Payments is how a build becomes a fund
The rails, not an add-on
A merchant can be doing real volume and still be invisible to a funder — cash in a drawer, checks in a folder, card sales running through a processor nobody can read. Install the rails and that same revenue starts landing on the statement where it counts. Same business, same customers, suddenly fundable.
Modules 02 & 03 — your seat
The eight-step workflow you own
A lead is not a deal until it is on the phone, on an application, fully documented, and handed off clean. This is the whole motion — run it the same way every time.
Junior AdvisorYou
Call, text, email. Get on the phone, run the application, collect docs.
Senior Advisor
Closes the build or the funding.
Funding
Executes the funding side.
Manager
Team leadership.
Director
Book ownership.
Admin
Support across the board.
- 1
Work the leads
Call, text and email until the lead moves to responded. Volume on the front end is the whole game.
- 2
Get them on the phone
Nothing closes over text. Your only job in the first hour is a live conversation.
- 3
Run the full application
The Capvera Business Funding Application. Every field, every time — a partial application is a partial file.
- 4
Collect the documents
Statements or processing statements, voided check, driver's license. The holy trinity.
- 5
Self-review the file
Read your own work before anyone else does. Monthly revenue, negative days, balances, off-rail volume, positions.
- 6
AI push: build or fund
Run the stack check and make the call — is this bankable today, or does it need the rails first?
- 7
Send to the right banks
Match the file to the lenders that actually want it. Wrong-fit submissions burn relationships.
- 8
Book the senior advisor
Close the loop. A clean file plus a booked call is the deliverable.
The holy trinity
Statements or processing statements, a voided check, and a driver's license. Every time. No exceptions — a file missing any one of the three is not a file.
Module 08 — read the money
Ten minutes with a statement tells you the answer
You are not reading transactions. You are reading six things at once — and the pattern across four months matters more than any single deposit.
The state rule — do not get this wrong
90 days of statements is the standard. In New York and California you need 4 full months. A four-month file that stops at three months is a dead file in those two states.
Class examples
QUEST INTENSIVE LLC
Bank of America · Staten Island, NY · Jul 2026
125 withdrawals in one month, revenue split across several rails, and an existing SBA EIDL position already in place. Real business — messy file.
Open statementNONSTOP LIMOUSINE LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY
JPMorgan Chase · Verona, NJ · Aug 2026
Real Square processing underneath, but two-way Zelle traffic, a negative daily balance and 38 fee line items in a single month.
Open statementPARADISE TOWING & RECOVERY INC
Fidelity Bank · Sanford, NC · Jul 2026
$111,550 of the month's credits is a ForwardFinancing deposit — that is loan proceeds, not revenue. Five other positions running at once.
Open statementFull statements on file — click any company to walk through it.
Modules 09 & 10 — underwriting reality
The seven drivers, then the flags
Underwriters weigh the same seven things on every file. Learn them and you can predict the answer before you submit — which is the difference between a Junior Advisor and a filing clerk.
01
Revenue Volume & Consistency
How much comes in, and how reliably it lands month over month.
02
Bank Health
Negative days, low balances, NSFs — the account's vital signs.
03
Time in Business
How long the doors have been open, and how long the bank can see it.
04
Positions & Burden
How many advances are already outstanding, and what percentage of revenue they eat.
05
Industry
Some verticals fund easily. Some are treated as seasonal or high-risk from the start.
06
Use of Funds
What the money is actually for — growth, equipment, cash-flow gap, or a rescue.
07
Credit
Secondary on a pure MCA. It carries far more weight on term, LOC, stacking and SBA.
Green flags
- Clean ACH — deposits landing directly into the account.
- Consistent monthly revenue across the full statement window.
- Healthy balances and no negative days.
- Card volume processed through a real system, on the statement.
- Few or no existing positions, with real room left in the cash flow.
- Time in business the bank can actually see and verify.
Red flags
- Heavy Zelle, Cash App or Venmo movement.
- Heavy Square or Stripe volume sitting off the bank relationship.
- Lots of cash or unreported checks with no AR receipts.
- Over-stacked — too many positions already in place.
- Negative days, low balances, or fees being actively dodged.
- Real sales that never show up cleanly in the account.
Modules 11 & 12 — phone ready
Scripts and handoff standards
The opening, the qualification, the transition — plus handles for every stall you will actually hear on the phone.
Opening & qualification
Identify yourself, the business, and the reason for the call in the first two sentences — then move straight to the qualification questions. No pitch before you know the numbers.
Close / transition
Confirm the numbers back to them, tell them exactly what happens next, and book the time. Do not end the call without a next step on the calendar.
Objection: “Just email me rates.”
Rates depend on the file. Offer to run the numbers live in five minutes so what you send is real, not a range.
Objection: “I'm already working with someone.”
Ask what they were quoted and whether they actually funded. Position as a second opinion, not a replacement.
Objection: “I'm talking to a few places.”
Good — most merchants should. Ask what matters most: speed, cost, or structure, and position against that.
Objection: “Not ready yet.”
Ask what would have to change. Often the honest answer is a build — and that is a win, not a stall.
Objection: “I don't want to change my processor.”
Payments is the rails, not a requirement. Explain that Clover is what makes the file fundable and unlocks 0% processing and the 50% residual.
Objection: “I already got declined.”
Ask where and why. Most declines are file-quality problems, not business problems — a build usually fixes it.
Handoff standard
Number eight is the one people forget: your build-or-fund call, and the reason behind it.

Module 10 — the application
One link. Every field. Every time.
Five sections, and no skipping: basic business information, funding request details, primary owner, banking and revenue, then documents and authorization.
Statements are critical — the file does not move without them.
Every section has
Cliff notes, then test questions
Recaps are built into each module, not saved for the end. There is a final scored exam in Module 14.
